All this pizza talk got me to get out the breadmachine
and make some pizza dough. Usually make a couple
pizzas when I go to all the trouble. Pizza leftovers
keep well in the fridge so you can eat it for the next
four days. While making it this time I remembered a
few other tricks/tactics that I use. My pizza sauce
source is my home canned pasta sauce. I open up
a jar and pour it into a pan and cook/reduce it to a
bit thicker sauce. Add perhaps a short squeeze of ketchup
for sweetness, put about a half dozen whole star anise
and a couple tbsp of whole fennel seed into a spice grinder
and grind into powder. Dump this into your sauce plus
a dash of salt and plenty of fresh ground black pepper.
The sauce was mega tastey. The pizzas were fantastic.
I'm just going to have to respect/trust your opinions
of the pizza chain pizzas as I can't see the point of eating
any of them. When I want a pizza, I'll make my own.
I mentioned about taking a chance on a Freshetta frozen
pizza, well for 5-6 bucks it's worth having one in the freezer.
The notion that gobs of cheese, sodium nitrate cured meats,
enough white flour to make 2 loaves of bread is a healthy meal.
I love pizza a whole lot. I also used to love eating hot dogs
but there is a force field around the frankfurters in the grocery
store that I shop at that I'm unable to penetrate. The burger joints,
the pizza joints, the snack food industry, store bought processed
foods are leading many to an early grave or worse. I couldn't
fucking believe (after standing at the cooking oil section of my
local mega mart trying to make a decision) that "vegetable oil"
is now "soybean oil". Soybeans are all genetically modified. Canola
which has been excepted as good (is hazardous to human health,
formally known as "rapeseed oil") was a penetrating oil used for
lubracation purposes is now somehow in our foodchain. You can
bet that anything deep fried in the USA today is a combination
of the cheapest and worst oil available. Olive oil is expensive.
Corn oil is likely to be genetically modified. I use Safflower oil myself.
I've grown safflowers in my garden for a few years just to learn
something about them. Peanut oil is another choice but the price
has jumped considerably the last few years. Fast food comes with
a price...much more than you pay the cashier.

Consumption of copious amounts of organic "Laura" soybeans has given Snippy an ample bosom.

(Cakes, candy bars, and other crap food has nothing to do with it.)

It doesn't surprise me as the soybean rage benefits
the female much more than the male.

I used to make my own pizza, when I was first married. It was the best, mainly since I concocted the sauce myself. I like my pizza swimming with sauce, using the cheese to hold anything else I put on it. Maybe I will get back to it again someday.... Nah, the frozen stuff from BJ's will have to do. Domino's is okay, it will make a turd.

Now I know what I shall buy to stimulate the economy, one of those mixing machines and a pizza stone. I do like my pizza.

I large, long one. The kind that makes you mesmorized to watch swirl around, wondering if it will fold on half so the toilet will swallow it...

That aspect of pizza eating is true. Big deuces in the
bowl. I haven't ate a pizza for months and my stool
sample for last few days has been a 2 and a half curler
that you pray will flush. Whereas spicy chicken teriyaki
and rice creates a miny deuce.

World Record For Toppling Dominoes Broken

LEEUWARDEN, The Netherlands (CBS) A new world record for the number of dominoes toppled in one go was set in the Netherlands on Friday night, when according to event organizers, 4,345,027 dominoes fell during a two-hour TV show.

The annual event, which took place in Leeuwarden, was broadcast live in eight countries.

More than 85 people from 13 countries took part in the challenge, which took eight weeks to set up and was a year in the planning.

Acrobat and former Miss Finland Salima Peippo toppled the first domino whilst suspended from the ceiling by ropes.

One of the features, which included a small bird flapping its wings, was in memory of a sparrow, which was shot and killed in 2005 moments after it flew into the exhibition hall and knocked over 23,000 dominoes - almost sabotaging that year's record attempt.

Animal rights groups were said to be outraged at the shooting.

The aim of Domino Day 2008 was to break ten world records made in previous years.

In 2007 the team failed to break the record set a year earlier of 4,079,381 dominoes toppled.

Beside the record attempt to topple the most dominoes, there were 10 other record attempts including: the most dominoes stacked on one single domino; the most mini dominoes toppled; and the fastest domino toppling.

All ten records were successfully broken.

According to the organizers, the 2008 attempt required more than 31,000 square feet of space, over 250 different types of domino, 300 mechanics, 100 decor pieces, 1500 turning fences and more than 16,400 square feet of floor paint.

Mr. Modern Rater, Troll is trying to change the direction of this thread. Bad Troll. No wonder Troll STILL doesn't have any friends.
