Norfolk Southern crews are on the scene of a train derailment in Montgomery County.

It happened in Pepper Va at little before 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.  Officials says that 12 cars derailed from the coal train. There were no injuries.

The route is not expected to re-open until after 7:00 p.m.  The cause is under investigation.
Corrective action will be taken!
