I quit eating beef 15 years ago when the "Mad Cow" thing
was big news. Since then 1000's of tons of
beef have been recalled for one reason or another.
You might already know this but a burger patty from McD's
contains flesh from a 1000 cows. Doesn't have to be McD's,
it could from any place you eat at where they use frozen
beef patties that are packaged by mega meat companies.
After a time I didn't miss beef in my diet at all. Anyway
the latest is "cloned beef" entering the food supply.
Somehow "they" got caught in this one circumstance but
you can bet anytime "they" can get away with it, will be
in your meat counter to select from without nary a clue
as to it's origin.

Read "Fast Food Nation", it's a facinating look at the fast food industry from many aspects.

McD's has more stringent requirements from it's suppliers than the FDA could ever hope to have. McD can send it's inspectors to any slaughter house or processing plant at any time and reject the meat for any reason. The same goes for any other food stuff or condiment that McD buys. As the Number 1 buyer of beef, they can get away with it, and they have such high standards because they are extremely concerned about their image and do not wnat in any way at all to be connected with a food borne illness. McD's is probably the cleanest food around. It may not be the healthiest in terms of nutrition, fat, etc but there is very little chance of Listeria or salmonella or anything like that.

No promises about the Anchor...

I'm aware of that book BD and would like to read it. It's great
that McD's takes steps in making sure their beef is top notch
but then the documentary "Supersize Me" came out. I actually
quit eating beef because of protein overload. There is this notion
that the more protein you consume that it will result in more
muscle and through exercise a lean mean physique. The human
body requires 7 grams of protein daily (that would be an average
sized potato) and anything over that will cause a reaction within
the human body to rob calcium from your bones to compensate
for the excess protein. Step away from eating beef for 10 years
and eat it again. I've tried it several times (after I vowed not to)
and I made the right decision. You all can have my share.

I was hooked on fizzy soda drinks from my youth until
the mid 90's. I think it started one day when I read the
ingredients in a can of Coke. Think it coincided with getting
a RO water filter and experiencing water in it's purest form.
One can forget fizz over time to the point where fizz is
no longer tolerable. Same goes for beer I guess. Beer
runs neck and neck with the fizzy soft drink industry.
You can bet the mega beer brewers include fluoride in
every bottle as I can't imagine a RO water filter large
enough to handle the volume of water or the brewer
having any awareness of the water supply. Any way...
I avoid beverages from a can or a bottle or from a fast
food joint. The ice is fluoridated and so is the beverage.

Livestock Crossbred With Recombinant Zombie Cattle
BBC | Submitted by: Bishop Williamson (in the pasture, pants/collar down!)
"Some of the cattle cloned to boost food production in the US have been created from the cells of dead animals. Farmers say it is being done because it is only possible to tell that the animal's meat is of exceptionally high quality by inspecting its carcass... Supporters of cloning want to improve the great American steak."

We live in the day and age where you need to research
everything you eat or drink. One must know how to
tiptoe around "the agenda".

Maybe you've figured out by the 100's of drug ads on TV
that you almost have to choose a side. I do want to feel well
but I don't want any of the 30-40 side effects told at a 100mph.
Those side effects...ever listen to them? Geebus cripes.
Something is very wrong with big pharma approach connected

Eggs usually have an understood approach to their
preperation...the do's and don'ts. But as we've seen
with damn near everything in today's food supply
in the last decade, a failure. Never minor but huge.

Snippy enjoys his salmonella over medium.

Served by a nice waitress. Uke, she deserves a good tip, my man.
