All these folks in their 60s, and 70s... Just dropping off in their prime years. Musicians, actors, writers, comedians...

Only watched a few episodes of "Trailer Park Boys" but mostly laughed my ass off at these assholes, 'cause everybody knows 'em, or people just like 'em. Yep, they're everywhere, not just in Canuckistan!

Yeah, it was expected. What wasn't expected was how sad it feels.

A poet and a patriot. Champion of social justice and advocate for underdogs.

Rest In Peace, Gord.

Sorry TW5K as the mind is full of other things today but that CD cover I recognized
that I do have music by Gord Downie as I have that CD that came out in 1991 and
I also have "The Tragically Hip...Up to Here" CD from 1989. Only reason I heard the
band at all because I listened to CBC-FM all the time. Brave New Waves and Nightlines.

Okay...so Harry Dean died back in September, but his very last screen appearance just showed locally. Although this clip was already posted in the chat last week, and virtually ignored... This flic is Harry's story, through and through! It's the essence of Harry Dean Stanton.

His body of work, on and off screen has led up to this one. His story. it's one flic ya gotta see!

Sometimes I wonder why I don't have LP's/singles of Fats Domino in my huge music
collection...maybe because I would never play them. Liked Fats Domino music contribution
a lot. Now that he is gone his music gets more current day recognition and his music becomes
collated and the great stuff is found music/video/film to really put Fats Domino in his right place
in the evolution of pop music.

That flic "American Graffiti" was supposed to about, what? Teen America or some such bullschitt... The soundtrack made use, or misuse of what was 'popular' during the era that the film represented. Rock 'n' roll, R&B, soul, Blues, etc. Overall the film sucked!

But most of the music was pretty damn good, IUHO!

Another example of the Fat Man's finest!
