Death of CP employee under investigation

A Canadian Pacific Railway employee was fatally injured while working at the Regina rail yard early Saturday morning.

The 39-year-old mans death is being investigated by the Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and CP Rail officials.

At about 3 a.m., police, EMS and Regina Fire and Protective Services responded to a report of an injured man at the rail yard on Dewdney Avenue. EMS confirmed the man was deceased.

Tried ta get more facts through the "Running Trades" site, but hadda register...again ta do so!

Pretty sad when ya lose anyone out there just doing his/her job... Hope the family and friends are seen to first! A real tragedy. Keep us updated Thunder!

From what we have been told in job briefings, they think he was riding the point on a shoving movement into the wrong track and was peeled off by a foul track.
