Never heard of this broa...woman, but this idea of hers is just plain nuts! For one thing Canadians would never even give it a second thought, especially the French Canadiens in their own little corner of Nort Amerikuh wouldn't want anything less than full cessation from the mess!

Talk about a merger marriage. Author and professor Diane Francis writes in Politico that the U.S. and Canada should become one country. Francis lists several reasons, but heres a sample of the economic argument: Put together, the United States and Canada would be a colossus, with an economy larger than the European Unions larger, in fact, than those of China, Taiwan and South Korea combined. We would control more oil, water, arable land and resources than any jurisdiction on Earth, all protected by the worlds most powerful military.

Jeezuss... Is she serious, or seriously deluded? And what would Jeezuss do?

And if ever... Who'd rule the new North Amerika, and where would the capital be? Not Ottawa certainly, nor DC! How 'bout Fargo, North Dakota?

Ah yes, the spalleng. And the Canuck humor, uh...humour. Yeah. Few of us get it eh? But near the 'long-assed' border in the world (?) it varies from west ta east. It has more ta do with regional dialects. More often than not Canadians/Les Canadiens and Yanks almost understand each other. Almost.

That is until ya reach the eastern provinces. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, New Foundland and Labrador. CBC hasta employ special interpreters to convert Canadian English into local dialects so citizens in those regions don't feel left out. (Even though in essence they really are. Out of it!)

Don't get me wrong, I ove Canada. Canada don't ove me though! They sent me back the last few times I tried ta cross the border. But I managed ta cross easily at Abbotsford, BC. And there was Hope!

Probably, although my old man's clan split up before emigrating to this continent. While most headed to Canada (free land out on the praries), none that I know of went ta Mexico!

Most Americans just don't 'get' Canada, though. And here's why:http://www.craigmarlatt.com/canada/provinces&territories/provinces&territories.html

Confusing? You betcha! Some Canadians have never thought about any of this stuff. But they don't have to. Nope. They've got money. And smarts. And Canada thinks it needs 'em! That always helps!
