A bit more:www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2014/04/klamath_falls_railroad_worker.html">www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2014/04/klamath_falls_railroad_worker.html

The skinny is that Forshee was up for investigation. The reason? He didn't tie a handbrake on a forklift he was running a few minutes earlier to accomplish part of his job. He was a carman, who was hoping to retire in less than two years.

BNSF will attempt to sweep this one under the rug as an isolated incident, and word is already out systemwide that that is the case.

The dead foreman had previously worked at the Hauser Fueling facility in north Idaho (Terry Gay's former haunt). Need we say more?

Well the celestial aspects put the ideas into the head of the madman
BNSF employee. So now instead of going "postal", we could go
"roundhouse". Never heard of that before but it doesnt mean
it never happened before. Uke got out of there just in time.
Uke can hear any gunshots coming from Interbay if that
was going to be the place of some roundhouse personel
doing a Columbine thing.

More'n a few friends who still toil at Interbay tell me of intimidation tactics and strict rules imposed on workers that make kindergarten feel like, well kindergarten by comparison!

Being a mere two minutes late will earn a worker an investigation. Interbay has so many investigations, and dismissals that the last few union reps have trouble keeping straight, and working their own schedules.

Seems the rules change weekly, or at the whims of the foreman on duty at the time. All this has been driven by one man. Terry Gay. Since he was moved up to his current position as Chief Mechanical Officer, Zone One, BNS System, the situation at shop installations has gotten much worse.

Investigations can happen at any time, for any reason that 'they' deem necessary. Many will say Uke's exaggerating, or lying. I assure everybody the situation at points within Zone One, be those car, or locomotive shops, where gay's presence has been felt are uncomfortable at best, and feel like penal colonies at worse.

But that's only one harror story concerning Terry Gay. I assure you there are more. And there will be more to follow.

Jim Forshee's suit against BNSF was filed long before Gay became CMO-Zone One, so there's no connection there. Dead foreman Connor however, did work directly for Terry Gay at Hauser, Idaho.

Personally, my hope is that somebody with a pair of balls (bigger'n mine) gets in touch with the VP-Mech. in Ft. Worth about Gay before any more shit hits the fan! His heavy handed stule has no place on the railroad.

Snippy really feels bad about not feeling bad about this.

Seems like you just wonder what the one last straw that broke the guy was.

Life ain't s'posed to be this way.

I couldn't agree more... this seems more like "natural consequences" than tragedy...

Phreddie doesn't feel anything, like I wrote in the last employee survey, you have destroyed enough humanity in me, that if I saw a boss catch a heart attack, I would just watch.....

The worst thing I ever knew of was this, all over seniority. A fellow I knew well, one of the CR refugees who hired out at LAMCO sometime after Snippy's best pal, L. Stanley Crane, demoralized many Gonerail forces by rerouting their traffic, told me he saw this guy once, stalking through the yard. He didn't know who he was until he described him to a fellow rail.

I know, it's not the same thing but it's quite a story: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1986-08-17/features/8603010576_1_engine-switchman-conrail-lines
