I quit eating "steak" about 20yrs ago but I remember
those great steak sauces like "A-1" and some others.
I've told you before my shopping cart seems to stall
around the 24ft section 4-5 shelves in height of nothing
but sauces in my mega-mart. A-1 steak sauce and others
have this different "element" flavor which is distintively
"tamarind". If you are up on your ingredients you could
never buy a bottle of "A-1 Steak Sauce". Same goes
for the Heinz steak sauce. Going back many years I
discovered this hot sauce called "Pickerpeppera" sold
in the small hot-sauce bottle for $3.59. This sauce is
just fantastic and it incorporates the "tamarind" flavor
in a sweat inducing hot sauce. The tamarind flavor is
what A-1 has but probly is an artificial flavor in their
recipe (need to follow up on that angle) today.
So studying the sauces on the shelves I notice
Lea & Perrins "Bold Steak Sauce" (all natural).
Look over the ingredients lable and everything
"passes". This is the sauce you want in a little bowl
and dip every bite of chicken into it before it goes
into your mouth. Not the heat of the Pickapeppera
but very nearly.
