I've been thinking about what I could write here since the
Seahawks win in OT against the Packers.. for about 9 hrs
and I still dont know what to write. I mentioned in the
Celestial Advise column about some serious celestial
influences having some effect on this game and was
hoping for not the first effects of MIR..the infamous
"Shadow period" that preceeds every MIR and the
Hawks looked like they had "MIR" in the first half as
nothing went right. Russell Wilson had a QB rating of "0"
in the first half with 10 yards passing and 3-4 picks.
So going into halftime it dint look good down 16-0 to
the Packers and Aaron Rogers has yet to be sacked as
gimpy as he's supposed to be. 3rd Quarter Seahawks
get on the board with a fake FG that turns into a TD.
16-7 and thats all the Hawks could do in the 3rd quarter.
4th quarter still has Green Bay running the show with a
FG with 3 minutes left to go up 19-7. This was a critical
moment in the game as it put your faith in the Seahawks
to the ultimate test. Some fans actually started to head for
the exits that attended the game as a real "indicator" as
to the likeyhood of any "miracle" "just dint seem possible".
I have to refer to the word "miracle" in a different context
as the Seattle Seahawks rarely win games relying
on "miracles" for their record this season.. they are just that
good. The last 3 minutes of the game..it was like a "jamming
device" stopped and the Seahawks offence performed to
perfection and Russell Wilson makes up for a dismal day
in OT with 2 35-yard passed exactly perfect to win in OT.
Have to say I was ready to give this day to the Packers as they
played very well and got a lot of Seahawk turnovers just
tossed into their lap. As usual the Seahawks can figure
out what to do to win in the 2nd half but this was pushing
every Seahawk fan to their limit. I was pushed to sitting on
my couch which is my planB seating arrangement further
away from the TV and actually was reading a May 1966
Official Guide of the Railways and still listening to the audio
of the game. The Seahawks get a miracle win just considering
the finish that no-one could have ever imagined. Credit goes
to the Hawks defense all game and the Hawks offence that
is so potent given a chance. I got veklempt after this game
as I couldnt believe they pulled this game out. Joe Buck said
it immediately after Jermaine Kearse caught that 35yd pass
from Russell Wilson in OT..the Seahawks are going to the
Super Bowl. Just so much happened in the last minutes of the
game..all going the Seahawks way. Unbelivable game.

How about how the NFL -- even after changing the OT rules -- couldn't change their overtime rules to be worth a shit?

Sure, field goals are no fun, but so are six point touchdowns with no opportunity to answer the points.

Baseball has had tiebreaking/overtime right for a long time. The No Fun League still leaves it to a coin toss.

None of this to take away from the monumental, hapless collapse of the Cheese Turds.

It was difficult sleeping last night, the statewide crying was incessant and loud.

It was those Seahorses that caused all of this.

A night later and it still seems surreal..the "snap of a finger"
and the Seahawks that played for 57 minutes poorly takes
the last 3 minutes to get the game into OT, and then win in
lightning fashion. It was a gut-wrenching game to watch as
it took seems everybody on the same roller-coaster ride of
emotions just watching "all-60+ minutes" of this game. I mean
it was looking very much like season over and everybody felt
that and thats a very low emotion to feel and it was felt for
more minutes than we could stand...but the opposite of "very
low is very high" and everybody was hoping for it but it just
"dint seem likely". Then it happened in the last 3 minutes the
Seahawks could do no wrong and are back in the game and
execute plays to perfection with Marshawn running big and
the Hawk recievers "now" catching Russell Wilson's passes.
I wasnt the only person in the GPNW watching this game on
TV and just watching this game put me through a very wide range
of emotions and shedding tears of joy..fortunately for the "win".

The Monday edition of the Everett Herald had a piece on the
front page in "the buzz" section bottom front page with..

12 stages of joy

1. Confidence
2. Unease
3. Bewilderment
4. Anger
5. Denial
6. Bargaining
7. Acceptance...no, wait!
8. Hope
9. Bewilderment..the good kind this time.
10. Confidence
11. Crazed joy
12. Deafness

and No 13 is...hung over. Sure Green Bay fans are just as
hung over watching this game as the Seahawk fans.

The roads in Wisconsin are slick from the tears of the Packer-Backers. Only 2 stages of grief on display here, and acceptance isn't one of them. Around 0400 or so the crying dies down a little bit, but by 0600 it's back full roar.

So the teams in this super bowl have made it..Seattle vs
New England. MIR starts for real Jan 21th 2015 and runs
to Feb 11th 2015 and so the Super Bowl will be play under
the celestial influence of "MIR". Which can mean all kinds
of things..like favoring the underdog as an automatic favorite.
So if Seattle is the favorite and the underdog can very well
win during MIR..you can see this game being a very difficult
bet. Need to research Seattle's record during the previous
MIR period and compare to New Englands. More later on
this as I dont know who it favors but will find out.

Seahawks fly to Arizona Sunday morning and get ready for
a week of media blitz during MIR so you can bet that the
"mouthy" will come up with something. The Patriots have
had a handful with "inflategate" just before MIR started and
its not going to end just because Bill Belicick says he's done
worrying about it and he needs to concentrate on the Super
Bowl. Perhaps all this favors the Seahawks as they have no
distractions on-going. Marshawn has to refrain from grabbing
his crotch after a TD or it will be a 15-yard unsportsman
like conduct penalty...which the league knows he wont do.
