For the longest time UP wasnt into the oil train biznus

in Wa St. but they are now. Saw this on drain oders

where UP gets the Canadian Oil at Eastport ID and

it goes south to Spokane and then to Hinkle Or where

it goes west on the Oregon side of the Columbia River

to Portland and then on joint BNSF/UP tracks to Tacoma.

Saw a recent news article where the BNSF and UP has to

furnish information to the state every time a new oil train

enters the state. Seems the BNSF claims about 19-20

loaded oil trains a 7-day week. Think the UP oil trains

could add I dont know how more. So how do you feel

when you get called to take an oil train someplace?

I make sure I have lots of coffee in me and on board for the trip.

Having seen a night time petrochemical light show, and accepting the fact

shit can happen, I want to play no part in an early demise by fire if that's

the way fate steers my story.
