It's no secret that I dislike modern day NASCAR. Way too commercial and running manufactured horsepower. Not that I have ever REALLY liked it however the early days of racing was cool because when I was a kid, Mopar ruled the circuit. I always liked that old hillbilly Richard Petty.
Check out this short video about his 1970 Superbird. First time out driven since winning Daytona in 1970. Bad Ass car!!
Well Richard Petty won his races in the "old style" of "run
what you brung" race cars. I've watched those races and
the word "technology" wasnt a word in NASCAR when
King Richard was racking up a huge win total. Give credit
where credit is due and Richard Petty was the best driver
of all the races he drove in early NASCAR history and will
never be forgotten. You mention running "manufactured
horsepower". I've been to a 1000 races in my lifetime
and the one thing you want as a fan is a "full-field of
competetive cars". NASCAR every race fields a "43-car"
starting grid to ensure this will be an incredible experience
to attend and see. Now last place in most Sprint Cup races
pays around $80K. Several engine builders have teamed
up with satelite race teams to run the same engines to
just make the competition stronger and make for more
intense racing and its no more evident than today.
Now Indy cars are going to top NASCAR speeds by atleast
20-30-40 mph on some tracks..like Indy..Texas..but I
still contend that racing at 180-200mph at most tracks
will be enough speed to consider plus I know most of the
NASCAR drivers now.

Just consider a NASCAR race on TV today. Crystal clear in-car
cams on nearly every race car..you get the driver cam and the
view from the driver as he/she is turning lap after lap. It really
puts the viewer in the drivers seat and showing what its like to
drive 180-200mph. I can listen to Darrell and Micheal Waltrip
talk all day.

Noticed the top 10 qualifying speeds were over 200 mph at
Michigan for Sundays race. In race trim still 200mph entering
the corner..fast place. Should be a race to watch. Hope for
great weather. Watched the NASCAR Truck race at Gateway
Speedway. Just minutes before the start of pre-race festivities
a cloudburst hit the raceway and every fan got soaked to the
panties before getting out of the rain. I went through a similiar
experience at the 1991 Knoxville Nationals on a Friday night
show where the skies unleashed a downpour hard to get away
from. If you are from out of town you probly will sit and watch
the race with soaked clothing..if you are a man but your woman
friend might not be as hard core as you. Rain and racing dont mix.

Hard to imagine a NASCAR topic go so far off-course.
Kurt Busch wins the Michigan 400 in the rain at 137 of
200 laps. The race endured 3-4 red flags for rain showers
which is total hell for a attending race fan. This was a race
under the celestial influences of Sun conjunct Mars and a
lot of unhappiness caused by the passing showers for most.

Danica Patrick is an Aries woman and probly terrified
of "seminal fluids" and squirms as jets of cum land
on her back or belly as she doesnt like that part.
