Edison Volquez pitched a great 6-innings with all the things going on in his life
only giving up 2-runs. Matt Harvey was pitching the game of his life as had a
shutout starting the 9th inning for Mets. This will be talked about for many years
as the Mets pitching coach told Harvey in the dugout that he was done for the
night after 8-innings. Then Harvey went to mgr Collins and said I want to pitch
the 9th. Got the huge crowd chanting Harvey's name as they wanted him to pitch the
9th and get a glorious CG shutout win in the World Serious. Well I cant blame
NY mgr Collins for going with Harvey to start the 9th. Well a walk to start the
9th by Harvey should have signaled the hook and that's where Collins fucked up
by leaving him in for the KC batters to tie the game. So not only Matt Harvey's
ego balloon went poof, the Mets closer Jeurys Familia blows 3 save opportunities
in the World Serious against KC. When your closer gets hammered 3 games means
those doing the hammering are better. Chris Young will wear a World Serious ring.
The Kansas City Royals win the World Serious. Think a good chance of a rematch
in 2016...unless the M's have a great 2016.
