NASCAR finale at Homestead

Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Martin Truex Jr all have a shot
at the Championship. Watched the truck race Friday and the Xfinity race
Saturday and those walls around turns 3-4 are almost a solid black streak
from the cars hitting/tagging it. Pretty much everybody that did hit the
wall continued on with little damage. Running a 130mph 2" from the wall in the corners
lap after lap and all it takes is one lack of concentration and it could be over.
I actually like the 4-drivers racing Sunday at Homestead and one of them is
going to win it and I will get misty eyes even if its Kyle Busch or Martin Truex.
If Jeff Gordon wins it...what a storybook end to his career and that would be
misty eyes watching that victory lane celebration. Kevin Harvick has proved to
me that he is very fast racer and he won it last year with a golden opportunity
to "repeat". Hope the weather co-operates as we don't want an end of the race
like last week at Phoenix.

I had a question in my mind about the Toyota cars and if they actually had Toyota
engines in them and it turns out they do.

I preDik a snafu occuring between the 20 and 22 cars that takes out the field and brings to a close NASCARS ill thought out and implemented chase for the championship.

Restricting the "chase" to a few drivers is steewpid and not very fair.  If you give someone the chance to take someone out of contention during the last few races, and you encourage them to go racin, with bumping and banging encouraged then you cannot punish someone for doing just that.

NASCAR wants and needs people in the stands and watchin on TV, it has to let drivers drive.

Nobody wants to watch plastic covered cars with fancy knit yarn doilys on the fenders, circle the track at 55 mph with Grandma behind the wheel, holding out a plate of chocolate chip cookies to each opponent.

NASCAR needs to take a look at the WWE.

People watch wrestling for the contact, and the pomp and circumstance, the many different personalities and gimmicks or holds that each combatant has.

Watching grannie drive the family station wagon round in circles just dont do it.

Put a crowd in the stands..at driver introduction, have kevin Harvick bounce out of the trailer with his shirt ripped open yellin Im the Master of Disaster, while back in black blares out of the loud speakers...

Snippy really needs a rain delay. No DVR. No cabal. Sorry. The car knocker multi-media room will be tuned to the No Fun League.

CANA-LAMCO Pacific's Heartless Corridor needs containers full of landfill garbage to stock Mid-Real 'Murica's Wal*Marts.

If the 24 car wins (and Snippy admits to a bit of Rainbow sentimentality, not there's anything wrong with it, you know, NASCAR had an HIV death, etc. and shit like that, you know), if the 24 car wins, you have to wonder how scripted the thrilla in the 'Ville-a Paperclip Track was. Storybook take out better than any Chinese.

But, storybook endings are for My Little Pony and 8 year old girls. Snippy boldly predicts the 29 car will be fast. Fast enough.

And, that 78 car would have enough of a good noose story behind it, tu. Fuck a Busch, they can't even make beer.

Snippy's last post comes without seeing the race. It really was a very fitting finale was
mostly green lap racing. I said earlier that the light green walls around turns 3-4 got very
black during the trucks and xfinity races and they painted that over before Sunday's race
as I thought they might leave all those black marks on the walls of Homestead but being
the biggest race of the 2015 season the joint needed to be like-new and so it took a while
Sunday for the new black marks on the walls of Homestead to be made. So like I said I
could get misty-eyed if Kyle Busch won it and he won it...the way the man always races
getting to P-1 and holding off the completion. I've seen this from him so many times over
the last few years. Kyle Busch will race all 3-races trucks/xfinity/sprint cup in a weekend
over and over all season. You got to have some extraordinary passion to race that much.
Have to say the image in my mind of whatever car Kyle Busch is racing is racing for the lead.
Racing 11 seasons to get this championship and well deserved. M&M's for all.

I don't know what Kyle Busch will win for claiming the NASCAR crown for 2015
in Las Vegas awards (maybe 10-20 million I don't know) but going after that win
at Homestead was a great payday of $352K, 2nd place Kevin Harvick $290K, and
3rd place Brad K at $232K. 43rd place Clint Boyer made $81K. Sad to say goodbye
to MWR (Micheal Waltrip Racing) for next year and beyond. Sure it was a money pit.
