These trains arent a-rollin all night long. Theyre parking and idling sometimes for days.

Since the beginning of the month, CSX trains have parked at least three times near the Highland Drive crossing next to a Northwest Side neighborhood, their idling noise frustrating some neighbors. One train sat there for several days this month, said Dianne Biggs, who has lived on nearby Pegg Avenue for 30 years.

We had to park some engines near some houses by deepwater. One of the neighbors came out and complained how the noise was always there. I looked around, brought him up on the cab of the engine, and showed him the big red button to push to shut em down. This was before we had to lock them up.....

Why not show him the one on the side?

I used to do it for the neighbors when nobody was looking.

Its pretty routine that BNSF trains inbound to Bayside Yard Everett that doesnt have a relief crew
called for multiple hours get instructions to shut all the units down except the DPU. It could be to
save fuel but also make the residents that live up above the length of Bayside Yard on a bluff with
million dollar views less likely to complain about anything.

There is one near the fuel tank filler so you can shut the engine down if you have a spill of fuel.

Also cops can shoot at it to shutdown a runaway train..........

So, you are now admitting that you have never tested your EFCOs, as required in 45 CFR? You actually operated locomotives without knowing where all EFCOs are located.
