ATTICA, NY Crews are responding to what dispatchers report was a serious train derailment near East Main Street Road in Attica Thursday afternoon.

A Northfolk Southern spokesman confirmed to The Daily News around 5 p.m. that the train was a multi-level automobile carrier, and was not carrying any hazardous materials.

Emergency and fire crews are being rushed to the scene as early reports had multiple cars are off the track and on fire.

At least two people are injured, and had been initially removed to a Maplewood Road farmhouse. Medic 81 was later reported heading to the Erie County Medical Center.

Heavy rains in the area, official cause - washout. No NTSB launch.

Crew members life flighted.

Injuries "reported" as minor. Not burn related.

Preliminary. I hope that's correct. Burns are awful.

I think these are GM products moving down from Canada, loaded at the ramp in Buffalo.

This wreck occurred with the celestial influences of Mars square Neptune/Sun conjunct Mercury
...that just began to get serious and runs through the weekend so this may not be the last derailment
we read about next 5 days. Mars square Neptune weather combined with Sun conjunct Mercury weather
and you got some extreme weather. Washed out track is pretty serious stuff.

What about the rule that I can't quote anymore about operating in certain weather conditions and such?

40mph Flashfood warning. There was high water here and we never got one. Not sure what the weather service uses to determine then.

LAMCO had a contract with AccuWeather for private weather warnings at one time. Passenger routes had priority.

I wonder how much money they paid the farmer up front for tearing up his field. I'm sure they'll pay him again once the cleanup is finished.
