Coupling a locomotive to a passenger train

In North America it takes 1 person to make a "joint/successful couple " of 2 railroad objects like

a locomotive and whatever its to pull and hook up the air hose and perhaps another hose and job

done in less than a minute. In India/Indian Railways this simple coupling of engine with train takes

a team of men and maybe 5-8 minutes. I never studied the British way of car coupling but what is

always obvious is the "bumper car" connections on every piece of rolling stock and locomotives and

to tell you the truth I thought they were magnets keeping the trains cars together. Silly Gooose.

Actually they are "shock absorbers" instead of "spring-loaded drawbar". So I've watch several videos

now of the "making a joint in India" and I hope this is exclusive to the aging passenger car fleet. So it

seems you got 50/50 chance as a hogger of a passenger train in India to try to couple up with a passenger

car with no "coupler". Just a "hook". So its possible for a locomotive with a coupler to pull a 30-40 passenger

car train at 100mph by a "big eye hook over a jutting point". I wish I can find the video I watched earlier as

it was the most hilarious but you can expand on this very easily at YouTube.

Still looking for that one video that I saw of one poor Indian Railway worker down in the pit
trying to couple this locomotive to that passenger car and had 3-4 supervisors with radios
yelling at him to do this and do that and the poor guy doesn't know what to do . I will find it.
So what we are dealing with here is called a "H type coupler" in everyday use on the Indian
Railways. Here is how the H type coupler works. Listen up.
