Does anyone here ever attend the movies at a real movie theater? Will this bring them in, I don't see how, seems like a "shoot themselves in the foot" move.
AMC Theaters, the nation's largest movie theater chain, on Monday unveiled a new pricing scheme in which seat location determines how much your movie ticket costs. Seats in the middle of the auditorium will cost a dollar or two more, while seats in the front row will be slightly cheaper.

After relentless pressure from my kids I went to "Thor: Love and Thunder" in a theater a few months ago. Before that it'd been years. Selective seating sounds like a great way to slow the line down to a crawl.

I cant bring myself to go see a superhero movie. My youngest son has asked me a couple of times and, although I probably should go, I just have no interest or care to see any of the many Marvel films.
So, how was Thor? Do they project it on the side of a building after the sun goes down?

Seems like we took our grandson to see something but I cannot remember what it was or when it was. The last movie I specifically remember seeing in a theater was Nebraska, with Bruce Dern. A quick check says 2013.
I do want to see that Otto movie, also West Side Story.

Why would I spend BIG Bux on refreshments.. 500% markup, shoes stick to
what ever was spilled over the floor, people talk and spoil movie. Kids playing
stink finger obviously dropped off by parents to get rid of them.
Got a big screen, sound bar, blackout curtains, regulated temperature, great free snax
beer wine sangria, diet coke. pause anytime tu answer call of nature.
I'd haffta be crazy to consider wasting money in theatre.

Thor wasn't horrible. There was a lot of subtle humor in it. You're describing our drive-in movie theater Cy..

I've seen a lot of movies. Today's movies are a waste of time. Plus I dont give a fuck about actors/celeb's or the
established entertainment industry.

Do you really have a drive-in, FMB? Theyre rare, I only know of two that are in business. They used to be all over the place in Central Ohio, when I was young.

Off I-5 south of Blaine Wa (sin city which had 3 Theatres in town that showed only porn) in the 70's-80's
to lure down horny Canadians. So 5 miles south on I-5 the only "Porn Drive-in" when the Grandview Motor Theatre
went XXXX movies. Think I made a visit before I was 18 or was it after I was 18. 70's porn seemed pretty raunchy
at the time but very obsolete now.
