Or you can just do what Cy did. Retire and forget what a phone is!

My daughter now has one of those rotary phones, which her grandfather had. I told her I might know someone who would pay BIG bucks for it.

Uke, I made this discovery just the other day. It's gone. Closest one to my house that I know of is over two (that's TU) miles away now. Should I protest? Should I save my quarters anymore? Please, Uke.

Uke admits, with a bit of nostalgia...how much he misses the good ol' days. Ya could always phone home if ya broke down, or forgot something at the store, or ya needed a lift...call a friend.
Write a letter, and put a stamp on it. If it went over 500 miles, it would go AIR-MAIL! Cheap tu! Now it's 44-cents. Still a bargain.
I support the post office. I never want that very American idea, institution really, to NEVER disappear.
My cell fone... I can do without. Nobody ever calls anyway. 'Cept Cy...

The Krink still values the "rotary dial" phone. Perfect for master suite as the ringer doesn't work. Think a genius could get the ringer working in minutes. This phone was in my home growing up back in the 50's. Somewhere during it's travels it got re-wired to use the "new" phone jacks.
Krink just unplug it, turn it over, and take out four corner screws (Phillips head screws) you'll see the ringer... Just little bells, with a striker between 'em. They might just be cottoned... Stuffed with something ta muff the sound, or the striker might just have been pulled off. You can find parts and pieces if ya find the model number, and the maker...

Couple websights have parts, check the internets!
Uke, I found one today, downtown Dunedin, FL, right on Main Street.
