Two years later, to the day... It rained today. Yep! And the power went out...
Coincidence? Nobody knows, or really gives a fuck! The biggest thing though was the drop in the temps. From really hot, 90s-100+ now we're in the 70s. Not bad... Compltely cloudy now, and everybody feels better as well!
That's it from Western Oregon!

Aug 29 2015 a severe T-storm created what could be a "rain shaft" that flattened
my garden. All part of the repeating of celestial aspects year after year to the date
with maybe a one -two day progression later every year. So we got the Sun square
Saturn and the Sun oppose Neptune going on Sept 1-2. So in 2015 it was Aug 29.
Around my hood only 2nd rainy day in August and it wasn't much for me but to the
south and north of me today there was some "make the news" torrential downpours.
Have to be glad you don't live in Florida this week as a Hurricane is getting ready for
"take-off" across Florida and all the way up the East Coast. Tampa got a foot of rain
Wednesday and the hurricane is 400 miles away yet.

Some different weather for this side of Oregon. The wet side, west of the Cascade Mountains that iz:
Severe Weather Alerts - Lebanon, OR
Winter Storm Watch
Winter Storm Watch in effect from Wednesday, 11:00 PM PST until Thursday, 10:00 AM PST. Source: U.S. National Weather Service
...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING FOR THE SOUTH WILLAMETTE VALLEY...THE CENTRAL OREGON COAST RANGE...AND THE SOUTH OREGON CASCADE FOOTHILLS...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORTLAND HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.
* TIMING...LATER WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 OR 2 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO A QUARTER INCH OF ICE IS POSSIBLE THURSDAY MORNING.
* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE DIFFICULT AS SOME BRIEF SNOW ACCUMULATIONS CHANGE TO SLEET AND THEN FREEZING RAIN AND ROADS BECOME SNOW AND ICE COVERED AND SLICK.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW, SLEET, OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.
Right now it's 30F (Mercun), but feels colder. This is a big change, but after all it is December, and the northern hemisphere, where it's s'posed ta be cold anyway! So here we go! Winter. Yep.

I got 27F at midnight...completely still out. At ankle level its about 24F. Took the
trash curbside about 20:00hrs and my gravel driveway was frozen like pavement.
It could be a night where its 18-19F at ankle level before the sun rises Wednesday.
Got my outdoor faucets wrapped. Wednesday sposed to be clear and cold and then
Wednesday night/Thursday 1-6" snow in Seattle before turning to rain. That turning
into rain timing is always a guess. Up in Bellingham Wa the NE winds from the Fraser River
Canyon are blowing 30-35mph.

Another day. More rain. In spite of what NOAH sez:
Winter Storm Warning ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM ...
Severe Weather Alerts - Lebanon, OR
Winter Storm Warning
Winter Storm Warning in effect until Thursday, 12:00 AM PST. Source: U.S. National Weather Service
...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO MIDNIGHT PST TONIGHT FOR THE SOUTH WILLAMETTE VALLEY AND THE CENTRAL COAST RANGE OF WESTERN OREGON...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORTLAND HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO MIDNIGHT PST TONIGHT.
* TIMING...A MIXTURE OF SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN AROUND SUNRISE THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING. THERE IS A HIGH DEGREE OF UNCERTAINTY OF WHICH PRECIPITATION TYPES WILL PREVAIL IN THIS AREA...BUT LIQUID EQUIVALENT AMOUNTS OF PRECIPITATION COULD BE CLOSE TO 1 INCH... WHICH IS A LOT OF SNOW OR ICE.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 4 INCHES IN THE VALLEY. HIGHER AMOUNTS NORTH OF EUGENE WITH LOWER AMOUNTS SOUTH OF EUGENE. 3 TO 6 INCHES IN THE CENTRAL COAST RANGE.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...ICE ACCUMULATIONS COULD REACH AS HIGH AS A QUARTER INCH...OR EVEN CLOSE TO ONE HALF INCH.
* IMPACTS...ROADS MAY BECOME SNOW OR ICE COVERED AND SLICK... CAUSING DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS. ICE ACCUMULATIONS COULD CAUSE TREE DAMAGE AND POWER DISRUPTIONS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW, SLEET, AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

Bucket forgot to say if that's a real 'Murican temperature or, being so close to Canuckistan, that it might be one of THOSE temperatures.
