Don't have any high surf pictures in my collection because I stay home during the storms.
Always wanted to get high surf pictures but I'm 3hrs driving/ferry rides to get to the ocean
from my locale. This day and age either the news will cover or YouTube to see what I missed.
I like your stormy shots mntman.

Pretty well blew it account I got out and about at practically low tide instead
of high. Pretty much only gray by that time of day also.. I assume there will be
a few more chances though... Surprised me how many trees and crap must have
come down the river at the head of the bay.. I imagine it will be picked clean
of everything that can be used for firewood in the next few days..

Pretty good pics mntman! Lotsa flotsam down at the edge of the bay... Heard the highway (US-101) is closed southth of Depoe Bay. Along that sunken area of the roadway, where the road slid years ago!
Washington shut down I-5 again as well. Several miles in fact, up there near Longview where the Cowlitz enters the Columbia. And they also had a huge landslide along that stretch along I-5 where the RR runs close to the roadway. That stretch where the BN/UP crash happened in '93!
Lotta water and no trees ta hold the soils in place! Look for more of the same. Soon!

Keep your photographic interest going into Saturday mntman as "we" get the last "wallop" before things calm down next week. This is going to be another doozy. Huge swells in the Pacific right now. So I took a picture of the TV with whats ahead for Western WA on Saturday. 12hrs of wind advisories with gusts to/over 60mph, floods, heavy mtn snow, and heavy rain at times.
Let's not forget, Oregon is bigger than Washington, has more varied weather than Washinton, but the TV channels focus on the two largest cities in both states!
The cat gets bored when it rains
all the time and plays flushing the toilet...see meet the
parents
bj.com staphph will discuss your 'issue' at the very next meeting! We pheel ya bub!
Pretty steady winds today.. All the beach access spots are blockaded so
if I can get the pictures too appear here they will be distance shots except
for the Bay across the highway from us...
