Biggest surprise yet... Ex-UP six axle C-40 Dash 8 9252 leads the westbound daily train to Albany. Chip cars, finished lumber, and empty log racks! Aside from the SD-9 (Ex-SP "Black Widow") this Dash 8 is the biggest/heaviest loco to roll on A&E thus far.

Another tip....You really otter eliminate all extranneous subjects such as telephone poles, crossing warning devices, etc from blocking the view of the main subject.
Also pertinent here is to try to eliminate the appearance of same extrannus detriuos behind the main subject. after all, trains or engines dont usually have telephone poles growing out of them.
Just sayin...

More weird shit... The 5931 (ex-CSX) just came by long hood leading. Pulling an 'excursion' train towards Sweet Home. Couple passenger cars, an open gon with bench seats down the middle, trailing the 2501 (GP-35) pointing west low hood first, for the return to Lebanon!
The 'rain' quit an hour and half back. The air is a bit clearer now, less smoky. Nice!

And no pictures...because it was raining outside.

His Android 1.0 Gummy Bear .5 megapixel camera is still trying to process the image.
Should have kept the Jitterbug.

Actually, He waited to pull the trigger and the only thing in the picture was the crossing gate, completely hiding the engine.
