The city of "Brotherly ove" is gettin' further away from that misnomer than ever. Might be time for another, more realistic slogan eh?

Man shot by 2 gunmen
A man is in critical condition at Temple University after police say he was shot in the head by two gunmen in North Philadelphia last night. Meanwhile, one of the alleged shooters is in custody, while his accomplice is still at large, police said. The unidentified victim was shot about 10 p.m. on Marston Street near Somerset, police said. A gunman was caught a short time later and is expected to face weapons and related charges. The other gunmen managed to evade police.
Among the homicides this weekend in the city, two of them occurred at Germantown Avenue nightclubs within 24 hours, police said.
About 12:30 a.m. yesterday, outside of Club Black Diamond, Germantown Avenue near Indiana, in North Philadelphia, a fight between two women escalated when a man got involved and punched one of the women, police said.
The fight then grew to involve men and women, and the man who had punched the woman again escalated the melee by pulling out a gun and shooting people, police said.
Four people were shot, but police weren't sure if they had been intended targets or whether anyone had been a target.
Tyresse Pierce, 33, of Dicks Avenue near 64th Street, was shot once in the chest. He was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 12:58 p.m., police said.
A 25-year-old woman who was shot in the groin and a 33-year-old man who was shot in the chest were also admitted to Temple in critical condition. A 31-year-old man who was shot in the leg also was listed in stable condition at Temple.
The shooter remained free.
Less than 24 hours earlier, inside of the Upper Deck Club, Germantown Avenue near Chelten, in Germantown, Blease Burnon, 24, of Granite Street near Langdon, died after being shot once in the chest, police said.
Burnon was shot shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police would not say what he had been doing after closing time at the club.
His shooter remained at large, as does the person responsible for the death of Torrie Smith, 29, who was found with a single gunshot wound to his chest on Hadfield Street near 58th, in the city's Kingsessing section, about 6 a.m. Saturday.
Smith, of Hazel Avenue near Cobbs Creek Parkway, was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania at 6:40 a.m.
Meanwhile, the death of a woman who was found in a snow-covered alleyway Saturday in the Wissinoming section has not been labeled a homicide, though the case will depend on findings from the Medical Examiner's Office, police said.
Donna McDonald, 49, of Higbee Street near Duffield, was reported missing on Feb. 15, according to police.
About 5:11 p.m. Saturday a woman who was walking her dog found McDonald's body lying face-up in the alley near Erdick Street and Cheltenham Avenue.
Police said it was difficult to determine how long McDonald had been at that location since the alley has gone unused because of the snow. Authorities noted, however, that her body did not exhibit any signs of trauma.
Finally, details were still scant yesterday about a woman who was set on fire by her ex-boyfriend in Walnut Hill early Saturday.
The man doused the 27-year-old victim in alcohol then set her afire following an argument at her residence on Walnut Street near 47th about 12:14 a.m., police said.
She was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, then transferred to Temple's burn unit to be treated for third-degree burns.
Police are looking for her assailant.

Separate shootings in different parts of the city last night left one young man dead and a teenager in critical condition.
