Retirees absolutely NEED an occasional dose of trains. Whether close up, or at a distance... It's reassuring to know that trains are running somewhere. Bearing witness eases ones mind. All is right with the universe when our trains are running!

What Uke said. My trips into Everett to take pictures of trains and to see/listen
to them run is like a "blood infusion". I'm pretty jazzed after seeing some trains
as its an excitement that never seems to abide. Truth to the sounds of train whistles
meaning the railroad is running and a comfort of some sort. Uke went to work hearing
the sounds of standing motive power running/whining all 8hrs a shift. I could see where
you could miss that noise.

I've seen very few trains in the last nearly seven years. The last one was a lite CSX unit by on the lightly used line through Clearwater. Not much in the way of freight traffic near here.

After many hours, and digging through reams of paperwork, research shows more options than we knew. Take your pick *cy* and we shall petition one, or more (if necessary) rail carriers, begin running trains through your area.
Now this concerns the staphph:Clearwater is the "worldwide spiritual headquarters" for the Church of Scientology.
