Peets French roast, when it's available! A good, solid cup. Usually one cup with breakfast. Sometimes ya can find an 'off-brand' whole bean at a co-op store, for less than $12, but outa the local haunts! Gotta be French Roast. Black oily, small, whole beans! Simple really!
Drinkin' less coffee than usual though. Had trouble sleeping, so cut it ta maybe two a day, but strong, black! Starbucks owns Portland, and the capital, Salem tu! And they're all over in Eugene/Springfield area. Starbucks is a blight. An infestation!

Starbucks are "all over Oregon" by "necessity". The coffee business is very competitive once
we left the "coffee in a can" era. While I would like to have Starbucks coffee on hand for daily
consumtion and to serve to guests...I found I can get by pretty well on bin coffee beans which
go on sale by other coffee companies. Just a budget concern on my part as I've found good
coffee beans available all the time. Starbucks does their thing and a lot of people like it.
Starbucks "raised the bar" in the coffee world and as a result I've tried coffee from every
country in world . That wasn't even a thought in my head until maybe 1990.

Uke, they got a Starbucks here in " large Mexican beach town". They weren't even open and they still served me. Good coffee good service, and a dollar cheaper than what it would be in the US. You can't beat that

Every one of this group hasd their own coffee thing. No doubt about it. This thredd, when opened was just an opinion held by yers truly on one particular outfit. Starbucks. It wasn't meant to go on, and on as it has. But there ya go
Coffee, and enjoying a good cup, or three... Or an entire pot every damn day is a thing, part of who we are. Three guys swear by one brand over another. This dude likes so-and-so de caf. But TWK5 prefers whole beans roast there in Canada. Uke goes for co-op black beans, preferably French Roast. And on we go. Which method is best. Which brand is best. Brewing method, how much...additives, or not. Still no winners!
After all the arguing, discussion, and everybody's analysis, whaddya got? Coffee. That's it. That's us.
And I agree with Krink's last analysis. The battle started when coffee (ground) in cans, era ended, and buying bulk beans became the way to go. Finding the 'best,' or the cheapest, tastiest, most caffeine by cup... And Snippy also lays it out.
In the end, personal taste trumps all arguments. And personal taste is in the mouth, or pallet of the taster.
Peace!

What Uke said. We're happy with our blends we make, I'd sure I'd enjoy trying some of yours, not much interested in drinking any decaf, though. Gonna get a bag of that Peet's one of these days and give it a go.

Maybe Uke will send you an "autographed bag" of Peet's coffee. Peet's coffee available
in all the Seattle Metro Mega Marts only by vac-sealed bags. Never seen Peet's sold in
a bin. My one try of Peet's coffee dint go so well and its not that I'm spoilt or anything
it just tasted old. But that was years ago and Peet's Coffee is still around so the quality
must be there. So Uke has a taste for French Roast....should have said that a long time ago.
So if you like the dark roasted/burnt coffee bean taste...you should make it a point to try
as many "Espresso Blends" you can find as there always competition to make a great tasting
espresso. Espresso Blends are made up mostly from dark roasted coffee beans mixed with
other beans of a different variety/country and a lighter roast to give it a distinctive taste.

Wanted to go to Starbucks, and get a coffee and sandwich. The line for the drive through was wrapped around the store and out to the street, so I couldn't even pull in. Made me think of you ***. You called "starbucks sucks" thing before anyone else. well done.

Dang--Clemson was tough last nite.
A wide receiver named Renfrow--white even, was as good as I have seen.
There was another one, same name, many years ago.

Clemson looked like a bunch of wild animals against Ohio ST. Going to be a good re-match with Alabama.

Our long lost brother Tu/Frank tricked *** into actually consuming a cup'o Starbux at Reno airport. He bought a double shot, then poured it into a generic take-out diner cup. A plain white paper cup... That was some of the best damn coffee... After two hours on a 737-300, and a delay gettin' airborne!
That fucker just laughed like no tomarrow tu! Shit! But Starbux is still a no-no for this idiot! That shit is everywhere now! Including an espresso bar INSIDE my neighborhood Safeway! And their bags of ground beans sold by the same Safeway! Fuck 'em!
