One person is dead after a shooting in the Kensington section of Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to Howard and W. Huntingdon Streets just after 12:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
Authorities said a male in his late teens or early 20s was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and a motive for the shooting is unknown.

Second Person Rushed To Hospital With Burns

One person was found with stab wounds while a second person was hospitalized with burn wounds following a house fire in South Philadelphia Saturday afternoon.

One person was found with stab wounds while a second person was hospitalized with burn wounds following a house fire in South Philadelphia Saturday afternoon.
The fire began at about 4:50 p.m. inside a home in the 800 block of League Street.
According to investigators, a 22-year-old male was discovered in the bathroom of the home with stab wounds to his chest, abdomen and neck. He was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition.
A second male was found trapped inside the house and had to be rescued by firefighters. He was also taken to HUP in an unknown condition.
Investigators said the fire marshal was at the scene investigating the blaze.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

A 30-year-old male succumbed after suffering gunshot wounds to the head, arm and throat. A second male, 29, was rushed to Einstein Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.
No arrests have been made. The shooting remains under investigation.

WISSINOMING - June 13, 2010 (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia man was murdered in front of his home in the Wissinoming section earlier Sunday morning.
Police were called to the scene in the 6100 block of Cottage Street just after 3:30 a.m. There, they found a 53-year-old man with multiple stab wounds lying on the pavement.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the people inside the home were sleeping when it all happened.
Police aren't releasing the man's name or any leads on a possible suspect at this time.
NORTHERN LIBERTIES - June 13, 2010 (WPVI) -- A disturbance outside a Philadelphia nightclub overnight escalated into a stabbing, sending a man to the hospital.
Around 3:30 a.m., shots rang out in the parking lot of Club Fuzion, located in the 400 block of North 2nd Street in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties section.
Police say the victim, 36-year-old man, was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The suspect fled and hasn't been caught.
Investigators have not said what sparked the altercation.
Knives were the weapon of choice on both sides of the river.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - June 13, 2010 (WPVI) -- What began as a festive night out turned deadly outside a restaurant in South Jersey early Sunday morning.
Pennsauken police responded to the scene at the La Hacienda Restaurant on the 5700 block of Westfield Avenue.
It was just before 3:00 a.m. when a melee broke out among a group of men. One of them pulled out a knife and stabbed four others. Three of the victims were taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment. Two men didn't make it.
Police are now looking for a dark colored minivan, which fled the scene with 8 to 10 men inside.
Witnesses tell Action News the restaurant was being rented out for a party.
