Woman Found Fatally Stabbed In Burning Home
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect after an elderly woman was found fatally stabbed in a burning home Friday evening.
Firefighters were called to the 2100 block of Erie Avenue in the Nicetown-Tioga section of the city after reports of a house fire just after 5 p.m.
Crews quickly brought the flames under control, but soon discovered the body of 74-year-old Reba Murphy inside an upstairs bathroom.
Murphy, who worked as a part-time preschool teacher at Grover Cleveland Elementary, was pronounced dead from multiple stab wounds to her neck, chest and back.
Police are looking for a 23-year-old woman who lived in the home. Neighbors said the two often were at odds and Murphy had recently attempted to get a restraining order against the young woman.
The suspect was last seen in front of Murphy's home Friday morning. If you have any information, please contact Philadelphia Police.

Three people, including a 59-year-old employee, were shot at an auto shop on the 5500 block of Walnut Street at about 10 a.m.
All three victims were rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. One victim was pronounced dead while a second is reportedly in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the thigh. The third victim is said to be in stable condition.
No arrests have been made. The suspect was spotted fleeing the scene in a burgundy colored vehicle.

Man Killed In Old City Shooting
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3)Authorities said a 29-year-old Keith Gregg was shot multiple times near 3rd and Market Streets just after 1 a.m.
Gregg was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police believe a fight inside a nearby nightclub spilled onto the street, where the shooting took place.
The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on Market Street.
It is unclear what led to the shooting. The incident remains under investigation.

Phila. Police Discover Body In Delaware River
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3)Philadelphia police are trying to identify a body that was recovered from the Delaware River near State Road and Linden Avenue Friday morning.
Police found the body just before 11 a.m. and have requested that the medical examiners office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
According to Police Public Affairs, it has not been determined if and foul play was involved.
