I read somewhere that each text costs a cellphone company about .001 to transmit, texts are a big margin profit. Cellphone companies are raking it in.
Anybody else ever get a cellphone bill that was a big surprise? We got one but it wasn't $200,000.

$180 last winter, youngest son ran it up. He ran it up one other time but not like that. Someday, he's going to pay us back. I'm sure it won't be anytime soon.

Uh, dollars. When he comes back from the foreign country he's currently living in. How things go.
I'm sure that he won't pay us back with interest.

Good luck with that Cy! I'm sure yer kid's gonna pay ya back... Just hold on ta that thought.
Meanwhile Uke still has quarters, dimes, and a few nickles tucked away in the old Toyota, just in case...
Uke, to update the local pay telephone survey, I discovered that the payphone closest to my home, in a gas station, is now missing. Just so you know that you won't be spending your quarters there.
