The Rolling Stones Will Tour In 'October and November', Hints Ronnie Wood
Band set to celebrate their 50th anniversary...
The Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood has hinted that the band could be hitting the road in October/November for an anniversary tour.
The band will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, however earlier this year it was suggested that they would be delaying their celebrations until 2013, following guitarist Keith Richards suggesting that the band weren't ready to hit the road again just yet.
But, Mick Jagger hinted differently this week, telling The Sun:
"It looks like we are going to be doing more stuff. I am keeping October/November free, thats what I've been told. I'm just awaiting more information."
However, the star has insisted that the legendary group will not be recording any new material, as they have to familiarise themselves with their previous material, once again.
Ronnie Wood said: "New ones? Are you joking? We are familiarising ourselves with our back catalogue and have only scratched the surface"
Earlier this year, Wood also hinted that the band were 'about to' arrange a reunion and were simply 'tying up loose ends.'
The Rolling Stones have also recently revealed that they will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with a new documentary, re-tracing their history from 1962 till now.
Definitely going to portray one hell of a journey!
