I think "chocolate-chip banana bread" is my "new pizza". Just as many calories but hard to eat more than two slices. Pizza... never liked it much as a kid. Sometimes a weekend family dinner would be a phone-in and drive in to pick it up pizza. "Shakey's Pizza" was the most famous/popular pizza place in Bellingham Wa. growing up. Pizza Haven opened up a pizza resturant in Bham in the early 70's. While I've shyed away from pizza most of my childhood, my senior year in high school I made up for all the times I've been dis-passionate about pizza. Pizza Haven had these "all you can eat" nights. I need to tell this story because I can't believe I accomplished this (with the amount of food I eat now). 3 high school friends sit at the same table at Pizza Haven on an all you can eat night. Pizza Haven had these "checker-board" table-clothes so it was really easy to convert the table clothe into a "scoreboard". I can guarentee you that our hunger was not enhanced by drugs. Teens can eat a lot. Everybody knows that. So on this one evening at Pizza Haven for the all you can eat night, we all agreeded to a draw at "33 slices each". "33 slices of pizza". Need to clarify the size of the pizza slice would have come from a 14" pizza. Not those fold-in-half NY style slices. I figured it out to each of us eating 4 pizzas in one sitting. That is a historical event.
I just cant eat pizza no more. It's an issue with
my chewing perdicament. Nothing any of use
would know about. Have eaten many a pizza
over my lifetime. It truely is an "unheathy dish".
All kinds of artery clogging/chloresteral enhancing/
meats all cured with sodium nitrates/ and enough
flour to insure ensure a huge shit the next day.
It's a calorie overload and yet we keep this dish
at the top of the most desired foods.
Just what America needs: Pizza vending machines
