This says it all:
Here is what to watch for. Microsoft or other large companies will first need to introduce the next generation of Kinect that uses a non-optical approach to the sensing (such as magnetic), and that is able to model the motion of the whole body accurately (multi-channel sensing). It will need to be networked and include the immersive stereo video goggles and earbuds. Next, small modifications will need to be made to the TCP/IP technical specification so that datastreams are identified by type and "hooks" are provided for governmental tapping. Of course, initially we will be assured that only with difficult-to-obtain warrants will any tapping be done...but this shall be relaxed over time, as the government asserts that no implication of privacy is presumed with Internet use.
Remember that name, Micro$chit. Can you say vulnerable? Hackable... Crashable?
Can you Mayor Bloomberg, sir?
