But it's turned ta rain at 0700. Yep. Went down ta my local Finn's Bakery for a cup o', and a alice of chocolate-chip banana bread... Just kiddin'!
Cup o' coffee and a Danish. Cars along the streets covered with the white stuff! A couple drove past when I was leaving Finn's with snow on the roofs, trunk, and rear windows. Radio says a few schools will be closed for the day, and a few more will start 'late.'
Most of the heaviest snow came down over night, and coated main routes in outlying points, and higher elevations... Mostly north, and east of Seattle.
Weather lady on the radio says mostly rain after 1000. At least in my neighborhood that is!
Krink's place is probably buried in the white shit as we go ta press...

Meanwhile, here in Central Buckeyeland, where I've been camped out for over a week, it's a balmy 43. Hmmm, looks like its 54 in summerlike Snippylvania.

Well I'm grateful for the "no snow" this round in my hood. We was supposed to "get it" but we dint. VBC got it for the second morning commute in a row. They need to get KOMO's air traffic reporter Paul Tosch to show that CKWX News1130 traffic reporting gang how its done. News1130 traffic reports are incomprehensible to me the way they are "reported". Maybe " incomprehensible " best describes VBC traffic. Meanwhile I saw no white in the lawn but it has rained probly close to 3" in the last 24hrs. If that were snow we'd have close to 3ft very similar to whats going on in the Cascades right now.

I'm a firm beLIEver that snow belongs in the mountains and so far that has
held true. But a drive to any ski resort within 120 miles of Seattle will find
between 100-200" of snow which is pretty extraordinary pre-XMAS and its
piling up by the feet daily. It's been a week of very heavy precip in the GPNW.
I cant remember if you can send pix with your phone or not. I need to see
what your talkin about when you "want to show some snow".

Nothin' but rain down here in the flats... But one hell of lotta snow up in the Cascades, where they've had a few avalanches with all that white stuff.
Check out this vid... A skier gets swept away, and fortunately for her, a group nearby came ta her rescue. They say she's alright, after bein' buried alive about ten minutes.
Eh... That clip isn't that great seein' it again. But you get the drift anyway. (Pun intended!)

It was one of the biggest rain events of 2012 the last 48-hours at my place. It dint stop til about 2pm Thursday. It's one of those convergence zone things. I bet I got 4-5" inches. That is wet. The heavy dark grey skies may come in handy when we get hit by a solar flare/CME.

It was a miserable rain last night....... All night long with high winds, but Freddy delivered the goods. Camden flooded, so I walked about tu miles to get from the engine house tu the office to be able to catch a ride back tu Philly.....
