The mayor-pro tem spoke on national TV, while residents, survivors of the blast that all but leveled nearby buildings, and killed 14 people, including firefighters who were in the plant fighting the blaze when the plce exploded!
We cheered as the police nabbed suspect #2 in Boston (Watertown) hiding in an unused, covered boat. How he managed to survive, we'll never know, but we can now shift our attention towards the little town of West, Texas, and see how they're coping with their own disaster.
Give 'em a few minutes, and if you've a mind to, say a prayer.

No disrespect, but there is a good chance they will be named a contributing factor to the explosion. It wouldn't be the first time.

Agreed. Water mixed with certain types of anhydrous materials, can result in just such reactions... Coupled with heat, open flames, especially fire... Statements that ATF, and other agencies wrapped up their investigations so quickly, leaves many questions. Emergency responders may not have been aware of their own safety preparedness, or unpreparedness...

Me tu. Boston loomed large... The situation was everywhere, almost unavoidable. And down in Texas... Little West, they carried on. They bid farewell to those lost, had a memorial service, picked up, and started rebuiling... Damn!
Step back, refocus. Carry on! We all gotta live tu!

...we hardly blinked over the West, Texas story, in spite of the explosion there, and the impact that had. The aftermath:
