The Invisible War is a groundbreaking Oscar-nominated investigative documentary about one of America's most shameful and best kept secrets: the epidemic of rape within the U.S. military. The film paints a startling picture of the extent of the problem. Today, a female soldier in combat zones is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire. The U.S. Department of Defense estimates there were a staggering 22,800 violent sex crimes in the military in 2011. The Invisible War exposes the epidemic, breaking open one of the most under-reported stories of our generation, to the nation and the world.

Extended family chiquita re-upped recently for 6 more years in the Navy. One tough cookie she is... She's a munitions specialist, loading big-assed bombs on fighter/bombers on aircraft carriers. She's the first in her clan ta join the military, and serve in war zones. She's attractive, and has a new beau about every six months... She doesn't talk about her sexual life with yers truly.
Her mom thinks the world of her, and we tried ta get daughter H. join us when we met up for lunch last summer. But she was put on "Red Alert" account of North Korea... Think she can handle most doods herself, unless it's a gang...
Living aboard an aircraft carrier...there's no privacy, and there's a lot of places where anything can happen...including rape! Hope ta never hear of anything like it, especially to a personal friend, or relative!

She handles 'em straight up! The guy's gotta have his shit together ta even consider approaching her!
Sure things are much different now...military life/career
than back in the 60's-70's. Actually I have no experience
"this incarnation" with military anything. Seems I've
covered that ground maybe a 1000 times before and
I got assigned a "desk-job" this life. Know many persons
who served in Nam. So getting to this story about all
the raping going on every hour in the US military sounds
pretty close to same frequency in prisons. You got
an enlistment of personel that are 18-22 yrs old and
are testosterone "loaded". Its been the same forever
in the armed services...that age group but it seems
in 2013 those "amourous feelings" seems to
include more "raping".
