This one is pretty damn good! It's actually real, live narrated footage, by this weird ass Brit who loves train travel! And he's been all over the world...by rail! This one's a bit long, but pretty damn good nonetheless!

I saw this Anthony Bourdain CNN show "Parts Unknown" and this train ride in Myanmar (Burma) that was so extraordinary. Been a fan of Tony Bourdain since he hit Food Channel way back when. So this whole episode is worth watching from start to finish but the train ride happens from 27mins to 34:30mins. A very rocky ride.

Phew! That show...just outstanding! It's been...well...46 years since my time in SE Asia. And during that time we only knew about Cambodia, and Laos... Nothing about Burma, or Thailand!
Passenger trains ran between the capital of South Vietnam, and bigger towns up north, but NOT across the border. Now it is possible to travel the entire length of the united country! That trip's gotta be worth a few bucks!
They did move freight as well. Mostly iron ore, lumber, and rubber. I wonder... Some day I'd like to take a tour of SE Asia. Vietnam, Thailand, Burma... Maybe Cambodia and Laos tu!

Yer right... Been in the low(er) forties lately! But that doesn't explain the dreams... Maybe it's some... Nah! It can't be those Slavic genes, considering my mom was Neopolitan Italian, and that's at least half my past history.
Nobody posts Italian railroad stuff on YouTube. Hafta check that out. Later...

Please send some of that cool weather this way.
It's been in the 70s. Murican. If TW5k doesn't come back, Snippy might be able to stop telling you how the temp is being measured.

Yeah... Thunder's absence from this venerable websight gives one pause.
