He's definitely one of the most well spoken, widely listened to, smartest reporters on any medium. He's smart, witty, and funny all at once. He's been all over the world, and talked ta everybody who's anybody... Kinda guy you'd wanna have a beer or three with. Any time!
Well there's your reason not ta listen ta NPR any more!

Here's hoping that you no longer support public (NPR) radio in your community.
Add NPR to your boycott list! (Bob Edwards is still running his own show his own way on Sirius XM Radio with NO support from NPR!)

Bob Edwards is still on the local station. Snippy still pays his dues. Snippy still doesn't like the guy.

I listened to NPR for years before I found the Mexican station. Not trying to bash Inskeep, but not sure why there's a thread about him?

Because NPR fucked Bob Edwards over in 2004 just before he hit his 25th. anniversary at NPR. Bob really made NPR, gave it life, and the way they kicked him out, then stomped his ass, and promoted Inskeep... Let's just say it pissed more than a few people off, including yers truly.
That's another story though! Tell ya what Pipes, the main reason why I've been listening and contributing to NPR for thirty plus years, is because Bob Edwards got me hooked on radio! He single-handedly made National Public Radio!
And I wrote to NPR about the way they shot Bob, I threatened ta pull my ongoing support unless they brought him back, and I found it wasn't just me who felt that way. Tens of thousands of others felt the same way! Read this:
And now, ten years after Edwards departure, I've gotten used ta Inskeep, and Rene Montaigne, and I worry about 'em when they go ta Afghanistan, or Iraq on assignment! The news is still the news. The delivery keeps my interest, and the voices delivering that news on NPR's "Morning Edition" keeps me tuning in.
If Snippy hates NPR, that's his business. And if this thread bugs you, that's yours, don't read any Uke posts! Just say "No more Uke!"

Just say it! Clear the fuckin' air once and for all, no more hints! Ya want me gone, say so! Otherwise back off! I could give a fuck how you feel... Just fuckin' get off my fuckin' case!

It's abundantly clear by reading what Snippy wrote that Snippy still listens, still pays his way, and still doesn't like the change to Morning Edition some ten years later.
Oh, and still listens to Bob Edwards' interviews on the same station. He still probably smokes tu much.

I wish that KPLU would use the fund drive monies to to pay some new DJ's
to play more jazz between 3pm and 7:30pm. NPR is mostly propaganda
funded by the Rockefellers. Yes I usually try to find a few CD's I havent
listened to in a while instead of this "news". KPLU needs to make up its
mind and become a 24hr jazz station and get rid of this NPR news BS.
