Well, now that Ringling Brothers is going to drop their elephant acts, there aee going to be a lot of unemployed elephants. We can't just turn them loose in the streets, think of the plummet in property values? Putting those former circus performers to work, jacking up their sense of self worth, and letting them become a helpful addition to society.

They were all excited about retirement and now you want to put them to work. Think what that would do to their attitudes.

I sort of been looking back at Bellingham WA history for quite some time and never thought Bellingham ever had elephants walking down the main street in town but I find a photo from 1908 where elephants did indeed walk/trudge their way through downtown Bellingham. The things you learn over time.
Other news concerning elephants is the Seattle Zoo wants to get out of the elephant bizness and a big public debate going on currently whether to keep or "send the elephants" to some better conditions recently established. I watch enough NatGeoWild that I dont have to visit a live elephant to see what it looks like. So I wont vote on the issue. Let the elephant chips fall where they may.

I suppose there are places in the world where there are
more elephants than dogs..take advantage of the situation.
