I had to pay a speeding ticket in Boone County, just before I went into the Air Force...

The things you remember forever. I remember boarding the AMTK 20th Century Limited
westbound to Chicago at Albany NY. I boarded and went to my sleeping car cubicle and
just sat there in my seat and listened to the porters conversing in the hallway whether
the "dogs" were going to be on this train. The day before 20th Century from Chicago to
New York a major drug bust happened on that train using the puppies so one might
wonder if the puppies were coming back to Chicago...with me. Well I never heard the
porters last few words so I have figure the puppies were on my train. I still possess a
pretty sizable bag of weed even after a week on the road. So what to do with it? Well
the nature of a roomette toilet is that its "dry" until you flush so I hid it there and if
I had to...I'd hit the flush button. Thankfully I never had to but I got no sleep in my
Sleeper that leg of my journey. Pretty much the same thing happened on my Empire
Builder trip from Chicago to Seattle. That pretty much ended my days of traveling
long distance by train as an era had gone past where you could smoke what you
brung on your journey.
Somewhere in the good ol' Midwest. http://www.wifr.com/home/headlines/Railroad-Re-routes-to-Boone-County-367446171.html
bj.com denies any knowledge of this. Thanks, The Staphph
Nope!
First train today. West bound, 6 lumber loads, one petro-tank, two jumbo hoppers.
