A young female and a dog walking on railroad tracks in Wadena were struck and killed by a train Saturday night, closing all rail crossing in the central Minnesota town for three hours, the Wadena County Sheriffs Office said.
It happened about 6:10 p.m. east of Hwy. 71 in the town about 135 miles northwest of the Twin Cities.
More information about the pedestrian was not being released since the family still needed to be notified.
The pedestrian and the dog were hit by an eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe train. The train stopped after the pair were struck, closing the crossings. The railroad was investigating, along with Wadena police and the Sheriffs Office.
It was the second serious train-related accident Saturday. Hours earlier, a 10-year-old boy was in critical condition after he fell off a slow-moving train he was playing on in Minneapolis and his leg was severed.

Notice they never mention a thing about the crew that hit her. I'm sure they are just fine with it. Its all their fault.
