Do you suppose they'll write it off as the cost of doing business and being attractive to suicidal people?

I wonder if they'll send the bill to the family?
I guess they never tell you what to do either way. But I think once an RFE said something like "why would risk a whole town to avoid something you're going to hit anyway". Also sat behind a train that hit a lady, the train being put in emergency added other problems to the situation.

Either way it's a no-win situation. No way they (CSX) can fault the crew. And while empathetic to the kid's parents...they missed some signal that their teen was sending before he chose that train.

My guess is the teen never been kilt by a train in all his lifetimes before. New experience.
