A warrant was served early Wednesday morning at San Blas Mexican Restaurant in Albany.
According to local police officials, the 7 a.m. service, while dramatic in appearance, was the culmination of a criminal investigation with ties to federal law enforcement agents. It did not involve Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents, they added.
There were no employees or owners at the business when police entered, and no arrests were made. For reasons unrelated to the warrant, the business has been shut down, and city officials have posted signs warning against anyone entering the building. Albany Police Captain Eric Carter confirmed the building was closed for multiple code violations.
Officials will not yet comment on the nature of the investigation. We will have more information as details emerge.

*** can't figure out a damn thing lately. Including the notice posted on the door of that joint... San Blas Mexican restaurant. Read the sign. It's a mystery. The whole situation is weird. The cops raid the place, arrest no one, 'cause the place wasn't occupied. The owner(s) are forbidden from entry, as is everybody else. This is a definite WTF... IUHO!
