Has begun running another former CSX Dash-8 GE in revenue service. Yep. The non-renumbered (yet) 5935 in damn near original CSX dark blue, with their original number... Now appears daily leading east, then trailing second west. She seems to be a 'clean-burning' unit. The unit replaced was A&E 1807, also a Dash-8 GE, which now sits in a siding in Lebanon.

I'm glad the Albany & Eastern was able to get one of the "clean-burning" units.
Thanks for the update.

Snippy now writes the first sentence ever that includes GE Locomotive and clean-burning in the same sentence.

The ex-CSX 5931 just rolled by on an eastbound, mostly empty lumber racks. A couple tanks, and bulk cars. They'll work switching, and setting out, and picking up loads for transfer later.
Then they'll head back into P&W's yard in Albany with loaded lumber, chips, and whatever else... Led by the 5931. Still painted in CSX blue

So they are still "patched" Uke. A "patched unit" photograph carries a slight premium in value
unless there is a glut of pictures of the same unit over and over again for many years. But to
newbies in your locale just passing by and seeing this ex-CSX running a train would be a most
delightful sight.

The A&E 1807 is back in revenue sevice. pretty sure she had a major service/tune-up after visible smoke, and complaints. Plus the ex-CSX 5931 is in service again. She's one of the clean running units (no visible smoke) as well. She was trailing earlier on an eastbound of mostly empty lumber racks, as usual.
Then she was leading the westbound towards the interchange with Portland and Western at Albany Yard.Missed her leading the westbound though! Fone charging!

A "half of 5931" is just not acceptable Uke. Need to be quicker to your crossing.

Most of Uke's pics from the 'hood, and surroundings are made with the Samsung Galaxy S4 fone! The ol' phlip fone is no mo! Not ta mention there was no way to upload pics to another device. Plus the Jitterbug service was much tu costly...
Does Snippy need another fone thingy for the collection? It will be shipped for phree!

And this time she's the lead unit on typical westbound, headed towards the interchange with P&W (Portland & Western) at their Albany Yard!

Former EssPee chip cars trail the power, maybe six. Then loaded lumber racks, eleven or twelve nicely finished 2X4s, and 2X6s. High quality building materials.

Pictures much better and now you need to seek-out new locations and maybe chase
the train if you don't have anything better to do.
