Oh? And meanwhile you sir have an alternative for today's FINAL date @ midnight? Tell us, we slackers, who have numerous and varying dodges, alibis, and outright lies to avoid the inevitable. Huh?
That's laughable *cy* since Oregon is several steps ahead of yers truly this go round. They actually knew NOT to include RRB when my OR 1040 was filed electronically.
Not to say that the state didn't hit me, they did. And I paid. But AARP volunteers have to qualify with IRS in order topractice, and they're not allowed to be paid!
So there!

Form 4868 and a check if you owe money.
You have until April 15, 2021 (+/- a couple days if it's a weekend), maybe even October 15, 2021 (+/- a couple days if it's a weekend) to file a 2017 return if they owe you money.
Today is the filing deadline for people who owe money to avoid late return and interest penalties. You can solve it with a check and a a Form 4868. You can electronically file a 4868 and electronically pay an estimate without ever visiting USPS. Guess high and you avoid all penalties and interest.
