I thought everyone in the Pacific Northwest, living in paradise, was happy, but not this grandmother:
PORT ANGELES A 71-year-old woman was arrested for investigation of second-degree assault and resisting arrest for allegedly ramming her sedan into an SUV in a fit of anger Tuesday afternoon in the Volunteer Field Parking lot.
You'd be pissed off if ya lived up there. It rains incessantly. And the port's right on the water's edge, so it's always wet, wet, wet! Yep. Port Angeles faces the Strait of Juan de Fuca! Now that's gotta piss ya off knowing Canada's just across the strait, but ya can't get there from here! Dammit!
Everybody's pissed off in the GPNW! If it ain't the weather, it's the bears. If it ain't the bears, it's the fishing. If it ain't the fishing, it's the damn ferry schedules! If it ain't the ferry schedules, it's the shitty condition of the roads. And if it ain't the roads, it's the fees to register your vehicle, which seem to increase every year. And they still don't fix the roads, despite raising the license fees, and the gsoline taxes! Bastards!
You'd be pissed off tu, if you were forced to live in Port Angeles under such circumstances. Goddammit! So there!
Fuck Trump tu! And don't tell me, "But Uke what's this have anything to do with Trump?" Good question.

I've been to Port Angeles, tu. Missed the strip club but went to a real nice aquarium that someone recommended. Didn't see any angry grandmothers. We ended up on a ferry from Bremerton to Seattle later that day (IIRC).

I've been in/thru Port Angeles more than any of you's. In my youth it was getting to Forks Wa
with my folks where I had relatives so that's twice in a weekend. Never was any time spent in
Port Angeles always passing through the crazy weird routes of Highway 101 through the city.
It seems there would be some 'excitement in a city of 15,000" but there isn't to my knowledge.
Port Angeles is where you pass through to Olympic National Park and the Pacific Ocean. I have
not taken the "Black Ball Line" ferry from PA to Victoria BC but I have a good imagination of what
it would be like. There used to be railroad tracks in Port Angeles as there was a MILW branch to
Port Townsend. Seattle North Coast railroad took over in 1980-85 of which I have pictures of.
All rails gone now. More bike paths for persons like Mr Snippy. A reason to stay in Port Angeles
overnight...have to think intoxication will make your stay great. They got "pot shops " now just
like any city in WA. Stop by the "Pot Shop" on your way to Hurricane Ridge or Cape Flattery.

As I once said before, I've been to Forks, WA, I was there during the week of July 4, 1993. What I remember is the big 4th of July parade with all the logging trucks and the demolition derby they held afterwards. What I didn't know until we got back home was that my grandmother passed away on that day and we missed everything.

Forks Wa had my moms side of the family and an uncle and aunt and their families. Always fun to visit Forks as a kid and my 2nd cousins a little older than me. Probly the last trip with family as a teen my cousin took me for a ride in his hopped-up 57 Chev and layed some rubber down on 101 outside of town. I got to old (teen) to go with my folks camping anymore. The "Great Spotted Owl" thing in the 70's-80's put the screws to many who made their living in the forest in Forks and the whole Olympic Penninsula. A long story short no family at all in Forks now. Ironically Forks WA was night 2 of "The Krink Honeymoon". If you want to visit again Cy the 4th of July in Forks still focuses on it logging history.

They'd be alerted before you even cross the border into "The Evergreen State"! They'd hold you for some serious questioning and as soon as they discover you real identity... That'd put the kibosh on your travels in the GPNW!
You'd be tossed back across the border somewhere in Canuckistan, Idaho, or say it ain't so... Oregon! However we do have our standards tu! And it's highly unlikely they'd roll out the red carpet for ya! My opinion? Save yer bux, and stay home!
