I understand the gist of your rant-in-disguise here, and the issue of a mechanically challenged Amtrak is real, but I have to ask you...
To go out of your way like this, copying and pasting various line items from disparate Amtrak alerts into a standalone Trainorders post, the question beckons as to why you do this? Do you really have that little going on in life that you find this to be a defensible use of your time? I have asked you no less than three times in the past what happened between you and Amtrak. Whatever ax it is you have to grind with Amtrak must run so deep that it sometimes consumes you here. Were you passed over for a job? Or was there some other business matter where they screwed you over?
I know your playbook well enough by now to know that you become selectively mute in the face of these questions. And that's your prerogative of course. But when I read topics like this one entitled "A hell of a way to run a railroad," I see an embittered man who grinds his ax here with near Swiss-watch reliability. For your own well being, perhaps it is time for you to let go of the past and all of the Amtrak-induced angst that you so clearly carry around with you at times.

Guess the old adage is true, the early bird gets the worm.
Another example of censure by WhistleDick. Why would you pay
for a non-railroader to remove/edit your post. Then the same steewpid
