Writing your partners obituary is tough duty. Have noticed though that some folks I've known that there was never an obit in the newspaper. I ran Mrs Krink's obit 2 days and it cost me over $300. Guess it depends on how special the recently departed was and in some cases where you might just want to keep your mouth shut (especially if you were in serious debt). There is no death hotline. Some person will be appointed to notify a 100 or more different creditors, banks, charge cards, Social Security, insurance companies, utilities, and things you wake up one morning and think of.
