I think there's a few on here....Hands down, it was the best show on TV period! I liked it better than the Sopranos...

Filmed in Baltimore, MD......I have quite a bit of family in the MD area and a lot of the scenes reminded me of when I was a kid at grandads place....He lived in Pasadena, MD and I would visit him with pops every now and than during the summertime....He had his own crib on the Chesapeke and I would crab during the day...A chicken neck and a rope was all I needed....

Scenes from The Wire reminded me of when we would go boating....The key bridge, Domino Sugar, that big fuckin steel plant way off in the distance, etc.....

When the end of season 2 played, they had a montage at the end as they do with all the other seasons series finale.....Kind of a recap....The season 2 montage played a tune that I really liked and I wanted the song and forgot all about it.....

This past weekend, me and a few buddies did a road trip out of town and on my friends XM played the song from the opener to season 5.....It was Steve Earle...

I later found out that Steve Earle did the tune for the Season 2 montage which is the vid below (if you havent seen The Wire but might want to, than dont look at the video-it will make absolutely no sense to you whatsoever. skip to the second vid):







Watching Steve Earles actual video below, it took a few seconds but I recognized that clown from somewhere.....Than it dawned on me who he was....Can any of you Wire fans tell me who he is without googling his name...Look closely:

That took me about 2 seconds Briz. I had no idea dude was a musician, I thought he was playing the role of his real life or something. Well just read come of the comments, I guess he was playing himself. Cool song.

When I fly home I have to fly into BWI cause its the cheapest by far. Its cool when you fly around the city and see all the row houses, factories and ports. Reminds me of the show.

Yeah dude, it blew me away too....I was like, "I know that dude from somewhere..."

For a musician playin a part like that, he did a damn good job.....
