Sad to see the Met's go (you know I'm lying).
Something I started paying attention to late in
the season is all the different or standard noise
making efforts of all the baseball stadiums in MLB.
You know...the house efforts to get the fans to
generate an audible response to a potential situation.
Yankee Stadium always came forth with this "Dayo"
thing. Texas Rangers stadium always played this
"da da da, da da da, (I think it's a Beethoven tune)
whenever the count hit 3 balls, another common
approach is the "click click, click click, click click click
click click, click click" "let's go". I was watching a Mets
game a couple days ago and they had a few different
crowd participation methods. One was this loud voice
calling for lots of clapping that the fans responded to
it with rapid clapping that lasted for nearly a minute.
Sounded cool as the camera showed many big busted
chicks getting into it. I think in 2009 I'm going to play
closer attention to stadium generated noises at each ballpark
throughout the schedule and write an article on it.
