Been thinking again. This law probably will cut into my pay, but it forces the RR to hire more people. One of our oldest engineers, who has his act together too, told me last night that this will force him to work less now. He told me, probably that will be a good thing too, in order ease him toward retirement. Myself, being the socialist that I am, I hate it when people are furloughed. It is not a good feeling being outside looking in, worrying about the health benefits running out.
This being called after six hours rest to be at work at 8 hours is horrible. Even I, who can be at work in 5 minutes, and that is walking, can feel the fatigue reaching deep, and at the end of my 8 days on the pool, it takes a bit to recover.
