Railway personnel look over a train derailment caused when the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train rear-ended an empty Union Pacific coal cars. Ten Union Pacific cars derailed, though no one was insured and the accident remains under investigation.

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado A Union Pacific train derailed Monday near State Bridge after another westbound train rear-ended it.

Ten Union Pacific empty coal cars went off the tracks, said company spokesman Mark Davis.

No injuries were reported.

The other train was owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. Company spokesman Steve Forsberg said he didnt know how fast the train was going at the time of the accident, but the speed limit for that stretch is 25 mph.

The accident remains under investigation, Forsberg said.

1...So there is a difference between loads and emptys??!!

2...Can you get insurance to keep cars from derailing??!!

Yeah, there's a difference. The old conductor who gambled away his paycheck explained it to his wife. "Didn't ride anything but empty trains this half, honey, they don't pay.

Would that be like job insurance, Calvin?
