Tacoma, that is! Washington State ports, UP agree on intermodal deal
The Port of Tacoma and the Union Pacific are finalizing a 10-year, $3 million deal to move more domestic intermodal business through the port's underused South Intermodal Rail Yard. UP will divert its domestic intermodal container business from the Port of Seattle's Argo Rail Yard. UP's shift of domestic container traffic to Tacoma will allow the railroad to handle more international container traffic arriving at the Port of Seattle for the Midwest and the East Coast.

Well, Uke...BNSF probably is figuring like CSX did several years ago. Time sensitive trailers get a premium price ta move, but after you go to all the expense to actually move those trailers like that, you come up with less in your pocket. Moving regular freight costs less cause you don't have to adhere to a "schedule", and can move it more advantageously to yer pocket book.
We just started running coal trains to points north in the last few weeks. Personally I think they just dump the shit in the Pacific Ocean. The UP has also been duuping up damed near every train for some reason. They say its some kind of fuel conservation sceam. Kind of like saving fuel by getting a 454 with a Holly four barrel.
